Sunday 5th June 2022 from 11.30am to 6.30 pm on the Long Walk
Sunday is Big Lunch Day in Windsor we are going to make this a very special event. Every year, since The Big Lunch began in 2009, it encourages communities to celebrate their connections and get to know each other a little bit better, coming together in a spirit of fun and friendship. So, we invite the local community to join us to share friendship, food and fun. Gather friends and family, bring your Union Jack flags and let’s picnic together around our big screens, where you can watch the national Platinum Jubilee Pageant, which promises to be a spectacular parade, combining street arts, theatre, music, circus, carnival and costume, as well as the enjoying street entertainers in the beautiful surroundings of the Long Walk. This special occasion is made even more unique as this will be the first time such an event as ever taken place on the Long Walk.
Windsor’s Big Lunch will be a wonderful day celebrating The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, and a great opportunity to dress-up, bring flags and decorations to show your support. Make sure you bring a camera! Do keep an eye on our website social media profiles for any updates and start preparing your outfits – remember you can never have too many Union Jacks or platinum purple on display!
